Toilet Roll Firework Prints

Create your own dazzling firework display with our Toilet Roll Firework Prints craft! All you need are some vibrant poster paints, a sheet of black paper, and a simple toilet roll tube. With a quick and easy preparation, just snip approximately 1cm snips around the edge of the roll, forming a makeshift stamp. Then, dip your 'firework stamp' into the colourful paints and watch the magic unfold as you press it onto the black paper. The results are an explosion of radiant colours, reminiscent of a mesmerising fireworks show. For your little ones to take their creation to the next level, add a sprinkle of glitter while the paint is still wet, and behold the extra dose of firework magic that glistens and sparkles, making each print truly beautiful - Also a fabulous keepsake to look back on when they're all grown up!

Creating our Melted Crayon Fireworks is a breeze and a wonderful way to recycle old broken crayons into a burst of vibrant colours. Simply arrange the broken crayon pieces on the black paper and, with the hair dryer set to a low heat, watch as the crayons transform into a spectacular array of hues, resembling a grand fireworks display. However, it's essential to protect your surfaces as this process can get a little messy, but the end result is well worth the temporary chaos.

Leaf Crowns and Toilet Roll Rockets

Savour the end of Autumn with our fall-themed crafts! Start your day by going on a walk and collecting fallen leaves, letting them bask in the afternoon sun (dry!) to prepare for an exciting crafting session. For the leaf crowns, create a sturdy band from cardstock that fits snugly around your head. Encourage your little ones to transform the dried leaves into vibrant works of art using colourful paints, glitter, and their boundless creativity. Let their imagination come to life as the leaves are decorated with splashes of colour.. For the toilet roll rockets, repurpose old toilet rolls into thrilling spacecraft by attaching a cone shape to the top. Let your creativity take flight as you paint these rockets in eye-catching hues, and add a burst of excitement by sticking coloured pipe cleaners to the other end. These crafts promise hours of creative joy, making your autumn days truly magical.

Smores and a fire pit

Bonfire Night and s'mores are a classic combination that brings immense joy to me, and I'm thankful to Dandies vegan marshmallows for making it possible to enjoy these treats in a vegan-friendly way. With their delicious vegan marshmallows, we can all partake in the fun. The kids and I cherish the tradition of toasting marshmallows over the fire pit in our garden, using extendable skewers to ensure that little hands remain safe while enjoying the deliciousness of perfectly roasted marshmallows. It's a lovely way to bond, relish the magic of Bonfire Night, and indulge in the sweet delights of s'mores, all while making wonderful memories together.

Glow Stick Bath

After chilly Bonfire Nights, there's nothing like a warm bath to relax. We've found a fun way to make it even more enjoyable. We drop glow sticks in the water, turning the tub into a colourful, soothing spectacle. It's a delightful way to unwind and bring a touch of magic to our post-Bonfire Night routine, making the evening complete

An Alternative Bonfire

Bonfire Night Cooking, Crafts & Traditions| Mother Of Grom

One of the most memorable Bonfire Nights for my eldest son, now a teenager, was when we packed up the car and drove to the top of a mountain in Wales called the Giants Bite overlooking the Merthyr Valley. We laid down blankets and fairy lights in the back of the car, enjoyed hot dogs and sparklers, and shared Halloween candy. It was a special night, not too loud for the little ones or our dog Claude, as we watched hundreds of fireworks illuminate the night sky. Such a special memory.

I hope that these magical Bonfire Night activities bring joy and warmth to your own family and friends, creating lasting memories as they have for ours. As the years go on, I'll continue to add to the list, so we can keep the tradition alive and thriving. Here's to many more enchanting Bonfire Nights filled with laughter, love, and sparkling moments.
